Just thought I would order my first contract phone on Threestore.three.co.uk. Everything went fine and it was for £15 a month, order was confirmed online.
I got an e-mail back instantly saying:
"Thank you for ordering a 3 mobile recently. Unfortunately, we regret that we are unable to proceed because your details did not meet our credit criteria."
So I thought I would phone up and ask why this was and they said they could not view my details and I'd have to wait a couple of MONTHS for it to be removed from the system.
I've no idea why they don't like me, I've always got credit for anything else I've ever wanted (an amazon credit card and an overdraft facility), and here, a company still desperate for customers can't trust me to be £15 a month back to them! :S
--- SOLVED ---
Just got a bit of an update on that, I HAVE MY CONTRACT!
I've been a Three PAYG customer for years now, and I've used them and spent £100s with them, so getting failed for the credit check was a bit of a shock when I'm wanting to pay Three even more money on a contract.
I phoned up Three direct sales and asked for a PAC code for my Threepay handset (purposely phoned direct sales in """error""") and they said that I was through to the wrong dept and that I had to be transferred but before they did "do you mind us asking why you wish your PAC code?"
I explained I was happy to move onto a contact with Three, but since I'd failed the credit check I was setting up a contract with t-mobile who seemed to be a lot more flexible with their customers, and that I did not have a bad credit rating anyway so they were "cutting off their nose to spite their face, big time" I also made it clear I felt T-Mobile offered me better value and service and I would be recommending my friends to T-Mobile because of the problem I had with Three taking out a contract.
The next thing you know they'd taken my details and they no longer had a problem accepting me as a contract customer. I said I was STILL not happy because online I would have got my £75 quidco cashback, so I wanted to get my PAC code.
Finally, "would you be willing to accept the contract if we credit £80 to your first bill"
Me: "OK Then"
So I'm on a Three contract!
Long story, took a bit of time, but worth it :D
